The Steel Valley Syndicate, Jimmy Naples & Johnny Chechitelli, are joined by the most infamous bank burglar to ever come out of the Youngstown area, Amil Dinsio. Amil and his crew burglarized a United California Bank in Laguna Niguel, California in 1972. Legend has it that they were tipped off by the Cleveland Mob to rob the safety deposit boxes at this particular bank because it’s where President Richard Nixon was keeping millions of dollars in illegal campaign contributions. Allegedly, former Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa paid Nixon $3 Million to get pardoned from prison but wanted his money back. Amil details the heist in his book Inside the Vault. This week’s episode is sponsored by Cut & Toast cigars in Struthers, Ohio and by Youngstown Tile. For spectacular flooring, go bold, go local… go Youngstown Tile!
